HRD Minister tweets about the postponement of CTET July 2020 exam

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) postponed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) 2020 exam date due to Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country. The exam was actually scheduled to be held on July 5 but now has been postponed. The new exam date will be announced after the situation of coronavirus crises would improve.

CBSE has posted an official notice on their website regarding the postponement of the exam. Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has also tweeted about the postponement of the exam and also wrote that the new exam date of the CTET will be released when the situation of Covid-19 will get better. The decision is taken considering the health and safety of the candidates.

It is expected that CBSE may conduct the CTET exam in the month of December this year. But the exam date will be out after analysing the situation. Candidates should frequently visit the official website CTET.nic.in to get notified about the latest updates of CBSE CTET exam 2020.

The board has also cancelled the remaining pending exams of Class 12th and 10th today which were supposed to begin from July 1.
Over 30 lakh candidates appear every year for CTET exam. The exam contains 150 questions which are to be solved in two-and-a-half hours. The exam is conducted in two parts- Part I and Part II. Each question is of one mark and there is no negative marking.
