During an interview with Trump outside the white house, he says that he is talking to India and China both, trying to help both of the countries to solve the issues. He expresses his distress for the rebuke going on and openly criticizes China for initiating the fight during the already going hard times.

The United States openly has accused China of initiating and escalating the border tension with India and other neighbours by trying to take benefit of these countries busy fighting coronavirus pandemic.
Because of the terrific relation between Trump and Modi, Modi knows Trump will support him no matter what. And will come forward in the name of friendship to help India.
