AMIT SHAH ORDERS IMMEDIATE TRANSFER OF FOUR IAS OFFICERS TO DELHI TO ASSIST IN COVID-19 FIGHT

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Health Minister Satyendar Jain to discuss the coronavirus situation in the national capital.

After the meeting, Amit Shah ordered immediately transfer of four IAS officers from Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar to Delhi to assist the national capital in the fight against COVID-19.

“@HMOIndia @AmitShah directed immediate transfer of 4 IAS officers – Awanish Kumar & Monica Priyadarshini from A&N, & Gaurav Singh Rajawat & Vikram Singh Mallik from Arunachal Pradesh to New Delhi to assist #GNCTD for management of #COVID19,” the home ministry spokesperson said in a tweet.

The Home Minister also gave a bunch of measures to help Delhi contain the spread of the deadly virus as Delhi is now the third worst-affected state in the country after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. He further stated that testing for coronavirus will be multiplied within the following two days and after six days the testing will be expanded to three times.
Delhi’s coronavirus confirmed tally now stands at 38,958.
